Return & Refund Policy
We hope that you are satisfied with every purchase. However, we have seen many unexpected things in life, and we are proud to offer one of the best return policies in the online business. Living In Style New York guarantees every purchase with a refund. We want you to shop at our store with confidence.
You can initiate a return for most new and unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. You must return items in new or unused condition with all original materials included with the shipment. We must receive your returned items at our processing facility within 45 days of delivery. We inspect all returned items and award a partial refund for opened or used products. If the return is a result of our error or defective product, we will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges. Some manufacturer can only accept a return within 10 days. Once we receive your return item at our warehouse, please allow us 4-7 business days to issue you a refund. We cannot accept return of item pass 30 days.
If the return is not a result of our error and you initiate a return of an unopened item within 30 days of delivery, we refund the full cost of the merchandise minus the original shipping charge, actual return shipping fees and 20% restocking fee. If you order a item said free shipping and want to return it, you will ship it back to us at your expense and we will deduct actual shipping fee(outbound shipping to you) and 20% restocking fee.
If the item arrived damage at our fault, we will happy to send you replacement free of charge, just simply send us the pictures and let us know which part you need. If you do not want the replacement and only want to return, some vendors/ manufacturers consider this situation as buyer remorse. Then you will be responsible for both way shipping(in bound and outbound), plus 20% restocking fee.
Please keep in mind that the color of the item you will receive can be slightly different with what you expect because different monitors and lightings can create slightly different changes. If you are concern about the color, we think it is best for you to buy in store and not online. For examples, the dark brown item can be a little bit darker or lighter, depends on the images was taken by photographer and our monitor. If you return the item due to this issue, it will consider buyer remorse, 20% restocking fee will be charged plus both ways shipping.
If you are not sure how to assemble your items, please give us a call and we will happy to assist you. If you assemble it wrong or damage the item yourself, the vendors/ manufacturers will send you replacement with a charge for it.
Unfortunately, we cannot take returns of products that have been assembled, modified, opened, shows signs of wear or you contact us after 30 days. We also cannot accept cancellation or return of products that are made to order. Additionally, certain products cannot be returned because neither we nor our suppliers can take them back. If you have any questions about whether a product can be returned, please contact us immediately before purchasing.
We carry a lot of products from different vendors/ manufacturers, not all return/ refund policy is the same, so please call us before you purchase to make sure you agree with the policy.
If you refuse your delivery without inspection, miss your delivery appointment(s), return a non-defective or undamaged product, or change your mind after the order is already shipped, you will incur original shipping charges along with actual return shipping fees. Return shipping fees typically range from $100 to $500, but may be more for larger items, or less for smaller items. Additionally, a 20% restocking fee will be charged.
All small items will be shipped via Fedex or UPS. All heavy/ large items will be shipped via a freight carrier. All shipping fee which you pay for is for a standard shipping service means the carrier will only deliver your items to your curbside, not your front door, not deliver inside your house/ apartment. If you need special shipping service, please call us before purchasing so we can arrange that for you. If you do not call us and arrange before shipping to arrange special delivery for you, and you refuse delivery or return the package when it arrives, we will have to charge you 20% restocking fee, plus both ways shipping.
How To Return
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your original order number (start with INV19), what product(s) you are returning, and your name. Or call us at (866) 703 – 0088 so that we can start the return process. All returns must have a Return Authorization Number, created by our Customer Service department; otherwise, our warehouse will refuse to take the return. If you ship it back to us without letting us know, you have to pay additional shipping charge because we have to forward your item to our warehouse. So to prevent all the issues, please call or email us before you return so we can give you warehouse address which you have to ship it to.
Wrap the package carefully. When the product is ready for pickup we will help arrange for the product to be brought back to our warehouse. All returned products must be in original condition and packaging; otherwise, additional charges may be applied.
Free replacement parts. We hope that every product you receive arrives with all the parts necessary to fully assemble your product. Should you discover that a part is missing, damaged, or defective, please do not return the product but first contact our Customer Service team for the replacement part. We will send out the replacement part for free if the product is still under warranty (3 months to 1 year depend on the item).
Free maintenance. Should you discover that a product is not functioning correctly, please do not return the product but first contact our Customer Service team. We will work with you to identify the problem. We will either send out a replacement part or a full replacement of the product for free if the product is still under warranty (3 months to 1 year depend on the item).
